Stair Sainty are delighted to be members of the Cromwell Place community. In July 2023, we opened our first exhibition in connection with London Art Week, All art was contemporary once, exploring how artworks, now considered historic, were painted by artists who at the time were thought innovative.

From install to Private View, from our masterclasses to artist interview events, the organisation has been flawless. Cromwell Place is 100% the most prestigious and innovative art space internationally.

Although I have deep-rooted ties to London and we have always had a strong client base in the city, there is simply no substitute for having an enduring physical presence. We couldn’t be more delighted to bring our global group of artists to Cromwell Place.

With Canopy Collections, we want to support artists and make their work visible to a new audience of collectors and art lovers. Over the past year, Cromwell Place has enabled us to do so, and we feel privileged to be part of a growing community of like-minded art professionals and businesses.

I have been watching Cromwell Place over 5 years. Last year, I was passing and walked in - something just clicked. Space matters but people are just as important and the team here are great. CP attracts a diverse audience and everyone gets treated with respect.

Cromwell Place’s position in the heart of South Kensington offers the perfect setting: not only was this the location of portrait painter Sir John Lavery’s studio, but the building stands opposite 7 Cromwell Place where artists including John Everett Millais and Francis Bacon had their studios.

Being able to showcase contemporary art within the extravagant and beautiful spaces of Cromwell Place’s Grade II listed townhouses is unbeatable. I also love that, as exhibitors, we are able to select from a variety of exhibition spaces, so we can really match a space with a specific show in mind.

Being part of this vibrant new arts space, at Cromwell Place, allows me to showcase an inspiring group of international artists, whose work is ambitious and material-led.
